ABOUT
Hullo! My name’s Niall, and I’m an illustrator and art lecturer from Cambridge.
I enjoy using analogue processes to create my artwork, but have spent a lot of time working digitally too. I find that physical outcomes are much more engaging, and real world objects are much more exciting than art on a screen.
I take influence from street art and graffiti, but mostly keep my work indoors. As a professional I've worked designing graphic t-shirts, cd/vinyl covers, event posters, stickers and skateboards. I tend to err towards cartoons and hand drawn typography.
I’ve worked in schools and colleges for over seventeen years, and run workshops teaching drawing skills, cartooning and typography. I'm currently an art lecturer at Cambridge Regional College.
I think paperclips are well good, which is why they feature so prevalently in my work.
